I love these so much. There was enough elastic for me to use on two pairs of pointe shoes.

A very reputable pointe shoe fitter told me that these don't support your ankles at all. That is just her proffesional opinion but I wanted to share so that other people could think about this before buying.

These are my favorite pointe shoe elastics. They are a little wider than standard which makes them more comfortable as well as more supportive. On my Bloch Eurostretch pointe shoes, I use them all the time without ribbons. They are basically invisible, especially from the audience during a performance. And one package is enough for me to do criss-cross elastic on both shoes.

This elastic is great for pointe shoes. I have a high arch and it keeps me very supported and it’s comfortable to use.

These were great as an elastic for my pointe shoe! They were easy to sew and stay in place. I even had leftover in case I need it as a backup.

I've used invisible elastic by Gaynor Mindon before and it was not the best experience. when I put my pointe shoes on it would roll up and I did not feel secure in my shoe without ribbons. These are amazing. They are thicker than the other elastic but not too thick to the point of discomfort. Totally recommend these for anyone wanting invisible elastics

I love these. I have always hated regular ribbons because they slip around on me and end up too tight on my ankles and too loose at my shoes. These keep everything tidy and my ankles feeling good. I like these way more than the fully stretchy ones- I think by bun head?- my shoe just feels so securely in place with these. A little more effort to sew on because you have to get them in just the right spot but after that amazing.

Bloch's mesh elastic is the only one I use. Blends with all of my pointe shoes and practically 'disappears' on my tights!

i recently switched elastics on my pointe shoes from gaynor miden elastics to these and i am very happy with the results! these elastics are super simple to sew because of the thin material connecting the elastic strings and yet they are super sturdy and are yet to come off! they are very comfortable across the arch of my foot because of the thin breathable material and the stretch that they provide. definitely recommend these elastics to anyone who is debating on buying them!

I have danced for many years, and this is hands down my favorite elastic for pointe shoes. Really durable, takes a long time to stretch out, and blends well in with tights. Might be a bit tricky to secure properly on your shoe if you are a novice, but with a bit of practice and small, precise stitches, will last ages.

This elastic is great. It is easy to sew through, and yet still very durable. It blends in so well with my tights & pointe shoe ribbons. You really don't notice it at all, especially from a few feet away. Oh, and it's pretty!

I saw this elastic and really liked the look, so I tried it. I really like it better than traditional elastic. It feels more comfortable and less binding. I haven't had it that long, so I really can't comment on the durability yet. I stitched it really well, so I am hoping it won't fray or pull away.

these are great! you can barely see it when you are on stage! they last for about 2-3 pairs of pointe shoes (i reuse them) and they dont itch if you wear tights. These are great!

I bought these because a lot of my friends at ballet have them and they happened to be on sale so they were cheaper than the elastic I normally buy. HUGE MISTAKE!! They provide no support at all, my ankles always hurt after class. They also fray much more easily than regular elastic. Mine fell off my shoes within a few weeks (and not because I didn't sew them well, because they fell apart underneath my sewing). Eventually i had to replace them, but it would have been better/easier if I just hadn't bought them in the first place.

This is awesome elastic as far as my daughter are I are concerned, blends into tights and has great hold without strangleing her foot and ankle. With tight's she can't even tell it's there, barefoot it's a little itchey which I believe we had read or heard about from either here or another site. As tight's are mandatory for class here it's no problem and at home the problem is solved with a pair of very thin sock's I bought her so she doesn't have to put her tight's on! Other than that this is an awesome product that matches ballet pink tights perfectly!

I had these on my pointe shoes and hated them. They're pretty, but they didn't hold up. The little strands break and stretch out easily.

I just finished cutting these off my pointe shoes. I only wore them twice before I got a horrible blister. I was disappointed that this elastic was so coarse feeling, but I sewed it on anyway because I liked the stretchiness. That was a mistake. I don't wear footed tights during rehearsals, so this was directly on my skin. It rubbed way too much and was very uncomfortable. I will never buy these again.

I've tried a lot of elastic and this has to be my favorite! I love this one because it's stretchy and comfortable. Plus on stage it's invisible making your shoes look clean. I ordered them by accident actually because I didn't see the picture but they turned out to be one of the most supportive and comfy elastics ever!

This pointe shoe elastic is wonderful! It's strong enough to hold the heels of your shoes on, and it's also close to invisible against pink tights! Plus, if you only use one piece of elastic on each shoe, there's enough for two pairs of shoes.

Discount Dance is awesome. I couldn't find this elastic anymore and after a request, they now offer it! It is the perfect balance between Chacott's unstretchy and too short elastic, and Gaynor Minden's shifty and loose Invisible elastic product. It blends well with tights, shoes and skin. It is my favorite mesh elastic. Give it a try, it's under two bucks and it's Just Right!
