These were all too tight, had to exchange twice. Then top elastic on both ripped after a few months.

GREAT FOR AN ORGANIST
Which is sort of dancing, but on the pedals of the organ. The fit is as explained in the description. Probably not so good for wide feet. Comfort is great. But the best for me is the leather patch on the sole, combined with the heel height makes it perfect for pedal work on the organ. And it looks good too.

VERY pink-ballet pink, very flimsy. The elastic under the arch did not seem very flimsy. Two same size shoes fit two different ways. Wide in the toes.

DISAPPOINTING
I was really excited to get a pair of teaching shoes. At first I thought they were going to be great. I ordered a half size smaller than my street shoe and they seemed to fit well. The top part of the shoe looks like it should be stretchy, but the stitching prevented it from that. I have worn them for about a month and they look like they need to be retired already with all of the stitching ripping on the top. I also think that the front of the shoe is unflattering to my square foot shape. It makes me look like I am sickling while I am pointing my foot. The last thing I need is for my students to think sickling is the proper technique.

I have a high instep and arch. These shoes fit my foot great, but were very tight on the top of my foot and therefore uncomfortable, especially when teaching for many hours. If they could make the top straps with a more elastic material, they would be so much better!

Bought these for teaching. The length of these shoes looks okay (I'm a 7.5-8, ordered a 7.5), but there is no way I can get them on over my high arches (not an uncommon feature among dancers, I think). They're built with a low instep, and the "stretchy" part barely stretches at all. The leather seems soft and supple, quality seems okay, but I'm going to have to return these. Super disappointed, since Bloch makes the only elastic insert jazz shoe that fits over my arch, and I had high hopes.

BEST TEACHING SHOE OUT THERE, ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
I have been buying these for years because A) I don't want a buckle scraping me during batterie or frappes, and B) Because capezio pedinis are HORRIBLE.
These fit nicely, when you first get them.
The problem is, they stretch out and slide around your foot, and in a matter of a few wearings, reek like a corpse. I could bust through a pair of these a week easily, but since they aren't cheap, like a Sansha canvas shoe, I suck it up and keep the soggy. sweaty mess on for much longer. All of this said, they are still the best teaching shoe the DDS offers.

TINY
Definitely don't size down. Since the other reviews mentioned the shoe being small, I did not size down-instead I ordered my regular street size of 7.5. I can't even get the shoe on. They are probably two full inches shorter than my street shoes. I haven't been able to wear them of course, but I love the feel of the leather. It's buttery soft. The color is a bit more true pink than the picture. I think they might be worth exchanging and hoping to get the size righ next time.

VERY SMALL
I wear a street size 7.5 to 8 W and ordered the size 7.5 as it suggested and couldn't even get these on. They are definitely not for a wide foot...

Per the website I ordered a half size smaller and they are too small. My daughter was not the only one in her dance class that had too send back the shoes because they were too small. Beware of ordering a half size smaller.

NT WORTH IT DANCE TEACHERS
I’m a dance teacher who teaches all ages and different styles from ballet to jazz. My dance shoes were getting worn out, so I thought I would get these Grecian Teaching Sandals. When they came they were too small. I followed the size directions of ordering a size lower then your street shoe, but it would have been better to get my true shoe size. The one I got on was tight and flimsy. There just wasn’t much shoe. I doubt these would stand up to hours teaching dance each week. I had to pay a pretty penny to ship them back for the return. They were not worth buying. I decided to go with a basic black jazz shoe instead.

COMFORTABLE AND HIGH QUALITY SHOE
Great product! I read previous reviews pertaining to the sizing and ordered a half size down. When I tried them on, they were indeed a perfect fit. I love how comfortable the heel is! This shoe proves to be worth the investment.

BEST TEACHING SANDAL ON THE MARKET!
I have to review this shoe although I know the reviews are already great. Fit was as stated and the standard width is suitable for dancers with narrow feet as well. These shoes are incredibly flattering on most foot types. Didn't have the same issues with heel slipping that plagues the Pedini series. Haven't worn holes in them after dancing five days a week for the past month. I really can't think of a reason not to buy this shoe. Fantastic.

REALY GREAT
I bought these about 10 months ago and I loved them from the start. I use them for everything, from ballet to hip hop. I ordered them about a size smaller (7), and they conformed to my feet perfectly. They did take some time to break in, a period of about 2 weeks or so, but they are definitely worth the money. Plus they are very flattering to my arch and my point, and I love having a little heel.

I have had these for a year now. They are durable and a good investment. However, they stretched out quite a bit and now they slip in the heel preventing me from doing any real dancing in them. If you order them, order slightly smaller than you might normally, as they do stretch out (quite a bit in my case). Also, the elastic on the bottom will stretch out quite a bit too.

This shoe is wonderful. I completely love it. It is immediately comfortable, no breaking in period (like the 3 months of squished toes to break in the Pedini Femme). Also, the heel stays put, and doesn't slip unlike the before mentioned dance shoe. The color is a lovely pale nude. Gives my foot a lovely point!

PREFERRED FOR JAZZ & TURNS
I have these and they are great for turns & jazz moves. A lot of girls are wearing the footies now that don't have any support. These are light enough and still protect the feet and are great for learning turns.

What is the heel made out of?
Is the heel made out of rubber? If not, what material?
teachermom 09/08/2013 New York, Ny, Usa Age: 45 to 54 Are tiny dancers bothered by these shoes being different from their ballet slippers?
I teach very young kids (starting at 2). Has anyone had any experience wearing "teaching shoes" as opposed to regular ballet slippers with these young ages? I really would love the support of the heel, but i also know how observant and rule oriented tiny kids are.
Most teachers prefer to go with a full sole leather ballet slipper, especially for comfort. The only downfall would be the sizing starts at a size 10, so for small children age 2 would not be able to purchase these. - DDS Customer Service (09/10/2013)
Is the color of the shoe in the 360 view the same as the "pink" swatch below?
The color of this shoe is more true to the 360 degree view as opposed to the color swatch. However, it is still a true light pink color. - DDS Customer Service (08/14/2013)
Isye 03/18/2013 Indonesia Age: 25 to 34 Actual Size for me
Dear DDS,
I still confuse about the size of ES0410L for me. I don't wanna make mistake about the size since this is an overseas shipment.
The shoe is half smaller than US Street shoe. Generally, my shoes is between
6 and 6.5 US street shoes because I have a morton feet-narrow-low
arch-22.5cm but become 23cm when I wear spacer between big and second toe.
For Bloch Dansoft I use 4B, for Jazz shoes (enduro Tech) I wear 6N. So,
please find me the right size.. Bloch shoes have so many different types of
shoes and confusing sizes for those who are online buyer.
Need your reply soon.
Thank You
Based off the measurement you gave, your street size would be a 6.5. Follow the size guides and go 1/2 size smaller to a size 6.0. - DDS Customer Service (03/19/2013)
I cannot find a size chart for a womand 9 street shoe for this item.
how can I compare and find the size slipper I need. y chart on this page only goes up to size 6 adult.
This shoe states to order .5 sizes smaller than street. So you would need a size 8.5 in this shoe. The shoe is offered in that size. - DDS Customer Service (01/30/2013)
