No seam ripping, or curling of waistband, or bunching of fabric in the front all the way until he grew out of them. I'd recommend. My son was about 13 when he grew out of them, but he was still very slim (under 5'4" and under 100lbs).

helpful that previous reviews commented on it running small. My son wears a BOYS small 6-7 and I bought the CHILD MEDIUM dance belt (1 size larger than street clothes). Fit perfectly.

My son is almost 7, but he's big for his age and wears an 8 or 10. The size 8-10 (M) dance belt is a bit small on my son, which actually isn't too surprising because he's a bit husky and certain other things fit him a bit oddly as well. I'll be ordering the large next time and seeing if that works better.

GOOD FIT FOR YOUNG BOY
This is my 7.5 yo son's first dance belt. Our local dance store carried only full seat dance belts for boys, which I didn't think would work because even the smallest size looked too big and I don't really see how a full seat is better than regular form-fitting underwear for a youngster. He is 4' 1" tall and about 53 lbs. and the 8/10 youth fits him well. He's now worn it twice to perform and although he says the thong is a bit uncomfortable, he says he will get used to it, and he likes how he looks in his tights. It looks very well made and I would expect it to hold up well. We cut out the tag.

EXCELLENT AND COMFORTABLE (OR SO I'M TOLD)
I purchased this for my son when his artistic director told him he needed to start wearing a dance belt. After reading reviews from this site and others, I decided to go with this one for the comfort and stability it offers. My son loves it, although he said it did take some getting used to! He says it is very comfortable. We put them in the washer and hang them up to dry. He currently has 3 pair, since he dances 6 days a week. I foresee us buying one for each day!

COMFORTABLE
My 10 year old son dances ballet six days a week. He has both the Capezio full seat dance belts and several in this style from Wear Moi. He always chooses to wear a Wear Moi dance belt. The only issue is that at 5'1" and 93 lbs. and a 26" waist, he is getting too big for the child size large (size10/12) and is still too small for the men's small which starts at a 28" waist.

GREAT PRODUCT
My son is a ballet dancer, he is 8 years old. It was time to get a dance belt. He says that this is very comfortable (with in reason I suppose). I throw it in the washer and dryer and it has held up nicely so far. We are ordering 2 more.
Sizing: My son is 8 and wears a size 8 we ordered a Medium. Fits snuggly they way it should.
