Nimb06/03/2023 Massillon,OHGREAT FOR BIGGER FEET AND LONG TOES
I had trouble finding toe pads for my point shoes that would fit me. I have square foot with long toes. My street shoe size is womens size 10. My ballet point shoe are Gaynor Mindens 12.5 box 5 deep vamp medium width.
The size large of most would barley cover my toes and would be awkward uncomfortable angle.
These however are the only toe pads that seem to work for my feet. They cover all my toes and the bunion are of my foot.
One side is gel and the other side is a sock material. My preference is to have sock material on inside against my feet and gel side outside against my point shoe. Another girl getting back on point after injury said they seem very thin as her toe pads are much thicker. I have experienced no pain in my point shoes while wearing these, granted only been doing point, as an adult beginner for 3 months . I did have pain using others that did not fit well.
I hope this helps
I cannot speak for longevity, as only had them for 2 months, and I only do point work 2 to 3 times a week.

Must have! I loved the regular Gellows but no comparison!! These are long enough and will protect both along the little toe and the sides of the big toe. No need to use tape anymore to prevent blisters.

Love these toe pads. They're thin and comfy, and I like how they cover my toe joints. I have compressible feet, so they also help fill up the box and support my metatarsals. I can feel the floor in comfort. My only issue is I wish they came like the super Gellows with lining on both sides--these must be worn with tights or ballet socks.

I got these toe pads when I first started pointe, and i love them. A lot of other toe pads that i've tried have too much cushion that prevents me from feeling the floor. These fit perfectly in my shoes, and I have very wide feet (4X in bloch, and a 6 in russian). The extra long edges cover my feet perfectly. The only downside is that they wear out pretty quickly, but i get a good use of of them.

I like the extra long gellows because they cover the bone above my pink toe. When you first put them on they'll be out of shoe, I noticed this but didnt do anything, by the end of class they where in place with my shoe. But if you want to cut it you can but i just don't want the suck and gel to come apart.

DancerCO1409/25/2014GOOD PAD, BUT WITH FLAWS
I got these pads because my long toes no longer fit inside my other pads. I went to wear them with the shoes I had had the day they arrived. The boxes of those shoes were then too small. So, I kept my old pads for that pair of shoes. Then, when I needed new shoes, I got them fit with these pads.
Now, I have found that they are very comfortable. The gel is nice and cushy on my toes. However, they have gotten VERY, VERY dirty. I need to wash the flecks of stuff from the inside after almost every wear. They seem pretty durable because the fabric supports the gel, but I need to be careful. Also, I have to keep my toenails smooth so that they don't cut up the gel.
I would recommend them for long toes and people with lots of discomfort, but only if you get your shoes fit with them in, and are willing to do some maintenance.

Tenacity04/01/2014DURABLE, CUSHION WITHOUT BULK,BUT HAD TO
Been using these about a year, 3 or more hours/week. Although I stretch them unintentionally while rushing to put on my Bloch B-Morphs (best shoe invention EVER), no breakdown, rips, etc. After dancing on "gush" of 100% gel pads (those had so much gel in the toe tip, I couldn't feel the floor). Longellows give comfort without bulk. My only issue is how much I had to trim: the sides are SO long they kept slipping outside my shoes. Although my 62 year old feet need more protection than my classmates 50 years my junior, these don't have to be this long to give me comfort. I clipped the sides, around the vamp, and even a hole in the toe tip for my too-long toe: no unraveling, gel breaks nor crumbles; no problem! If only I could find regular-length Gellows at DDS: I'll contact their excellent customer service to see if these are offered, but don't show on their website. Yes, these are highly recommended.

ballet4life10103/10/2014GREAT AT FIRST
The toe pad is really good for people with longer toes, and you can feel the floor. I had two classes with them and really enjoyed them, and I was practicing at home and the gel started coming off of the fabric and the gel ripped on the side. When I would wear it with the fabric side against my skin, the gel would rip, but when I would wear the gel side closest to my skin my toe nails would tear through it.

Laurie121303/10/2014GETS THE JOB DONE.
These pads are good for those with longer toes and are fairly comfortable. My only problem is that they arent very durable Ive danced a little more than thirty hours in them and the fact that they have survived this long is surprising at best. The pads started tearing after six hours of dancing in them but overall it is a good product . i have a wider foot than most and because of that they fit a little wierd but other than that they are comfortable and get the job done.

Blueturtlewave01/11/2014GOOD SO FAR.
These were recommended to me at my local shop after I came in with big bloody places on the inner and outer bunions. I have always worn the lambs wool pillows for pointes when I wear pads, and my shoes tore holes in my feet right above those after I'd been out of class a while. So far these work great. I turn them inside out with the gel on the inside so they move better in the shoes. Will watch for the tearing noted in another review though as they are sort of thin.

bakedbeans09/25/2013GREAT AT FIRST
I got these because I have long toes and these cover my bunions. For the first month, they were really great and my feet weren't hurting at all. After about 10 hours total on pointe, the gel started to tear, then after about 20 hours total, my toenails started to get bruised. I have narrow, tapered toes and I still use these, but once the gel starts to tear and thin, I use lambswool with them.

I have ouch pouch, and was looking for something better. I have greek feet and my feet hurt after 30 minutes of pointe work. I'm sure everyone's feet are different, but these didn't provide better comfort for my feet. Also, it takes up more space than ouch pouch, so my pointe shoes feel a lot tighter with these toe pads.

MissMariana10/30/2012GREAT TOE PADS FOR DANCERS WITH LONGER TOES
If you have square feet and/or longer toes, if you want to cover your bunions (specially for smaller ones), if you want enough cushioning without loosing the feel on your toes, then you are in luck: these toe pads are just perfect for you!
I highly recommend them to all of my students, and even I use them when I have long rehearsals (and I don't usually use toe pads!) or the floor is too hard. Give them a try!

DanceTaxi10/24/2012MY DAUGHTER LOVES THESE! BUT THEY WEAR OUT QUICKLY
My daughter had a hard time finding any toe pads that fit her long, narrow, feet. She also has long narrow toes. It seemed most toe pads ended right at the area where a bunion would form, and therefore most toe pads were an annoyance more than anything. These come up higher, and do exactly what they are meant to do. I was worried they'd be too wide, but they fit her just fine. Her only complaint is how quickly they fall apart. Regardless, we will continue to buy these since they are the only ones she found that fit her, but we will stock up since we know they wear out so fast. Hers last about 1 month, she dances on pointe approx. 15 hours a week. Bottom line, we'd rather have something that works and falls apart, than something that lasts but doesn't work.

If your a dancer these are awesome for girls who wear XXX or wider pointe shoes because of the generous wings that come up the side of the foot. My daughter has a space between her big and 1st toe and uses a spacer which makes her toe base even wider. Now with these she has coverage over her big toe joint and pinky toe joint without pulling and tugging! I would very much recomend these to anyone out there who likes the gellows regular length to upgrade to the long length!

Silly Noob 02/23/2014 Age: 17 or under This is probably silly but...
I just want to make sure, so when I order 1 quantity of these pouches, It'll come with a pair of them correct? Rather than simply one?
That is correct, it will be a pair of them. - DDS Customer Service (02/25/2014)
