These are my first pair of ballet shoes. I am starting adult ballet in the fall. I have been practicing since I got them two days ago. They are so comfortable! Do all shoes feel like this? The sizing guide was right on.

NOT DURABLE
The shoes are beautiful and comfortable, the package is adorable, and the mesh bag is a plus. However, they do not last. They could add a better interior lining. My daughter uses them six days a week. A pair of shoes lasts about three to four months.

COMFORTABLE, NOT DURABLE
I've had these for about 4 months, dancing an average of 8 hours a week and they have already developed holes on the bottom. They are very comfortable, but it seems since the fabric is on the thin side, they don't last. The elastic has also started to fray. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't buy again.

BARELY TOO SMALL, BUT SO NICE OTHERWISE!
I ordered these and loved them after my first adult ballet class however they were a smidge too small probably because I think one foot is bigger than the other for me! Going to size up a half size! They were super comfy and nice otherwise!

GREAT FOR THE BARRE
I love the fit of these shoes. My feet are more narrow so my feet are swimming in the shoes a bit. I like to wear pointe shoes after barre so it's not a problem, but I wish I got a half size down. Overall, these are great flat shoes.

SO SOFT AND COMFORTABLE, LACK CRAFTSMANSHIP
I bought these to compare against the Bloch Performa stretch split sole. They are a great fit (I'm just under a 9 in street, and bought an 8 that fits nicely). I'll note that the tops/balls of my feet are bordering on but not quite "wide", and the width of these accommodated the shape of my whole foot wonderfully. The soles are unevenly cut, perhaps an artifact of being handmade, so they don't look refined/machine-even like the Blochs. This didn't matter to me since I prioritize comfort and fit over aesthetics. The sole is narrower/smaller than Bloch, but significantly thicker. I like the support it provides, and the fact that it's smaller surface area reminds me to stay centered on the balls of my feet. The upper is quite big and stops almost halfway between base of toes and ankles, which doesn't matter to me, but may be important if you want more coverage. I wish I could post pictures to illustrate. This is not a minimalist shoe in any way. They have a gloriously soft, velvet-like liner, that I noticed immediately and truly felt like a cloud when I put it on. I said aloud to myself, "Wow." Ultimately, I bought these because of their cloudlikeness, the elastic wasn't as tight as Bloch, the thicker and smaller soles will help with technique, and they came in all-paper packaging (Bloch uses multilayer plastic bags). I cannot attest to durability because I haven't used them yet.

SO PRETTY ON!
My 7 yr old daughter out grew her old leather pair with string to tighten and borrowed my 10 yr old daughters ballet slippers in this brand and style and loved them. I ordered her a different pair that looked like this style and she said the elastic was too tight. I returned them and ordered this brand. She loves them. The elastic is softer around the foot with more stretch. The cross straps also have more stretchy elastic as well.

COMFORTABLE!
These are comfortable, however I can't fully review because following the sizing recommendations didn't work out for me yet again. My US Street shoe size is usually between an 8.5-9 so I ordered the shoe in 8.5 to be safe and my big toe is right against the end of the shoe (which for someone who struggles with controlling my toes from scrunching is not ideal) I'm going to give the size 9 a try.

SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMFY
These are sooooo light and feel like you're not even wearing a shoe. I don't love the fit (they bubble a bit around my toes) but I have very narrow, low profile feet so it's sometimes hard to find a ballet slipper that actually fits me perfectly in the toes.

COMFORTABLE BUT FELL APART FAST
I received these shoes on November 13th, 2021. I put them on for class today, December 4th, and there is a HUGE hole over my right big toe. I take a 90-minute ballet class twice a week, and we had a week off for Thanksgiving, so I wore these shoes for literally four classes before they fell apart. It's a shame because they are very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, but they just don't last. I will not be buying these again.

ALMOST PERFECT
I love these shoes, and just wish they could last longer. Although they start showing tear and wear at around the expected time, once there's one hole, it grows really really fast. I imagine it's the downside of any stretch material - the holes get stretched too. For sizing references, I'm a standard 6.5US (37EU) in street shoes, and I wear 5.5B or 6.0B in these.

AMAZING BALLET SHOE!
My daughter received these ballet shoes and absolutely LOVES them. When I asked her how her 1st dance class went with them, she responded with "INCREDIBLE!" She said they were so comfortable and smooth in turns. The fit is comfortable and the added padding in the heel is GREAT! Can't say enough positive things about this ballet shoe. Will definitely be purchasing this brand and style again when she outgrows or wears out her shoes - whichever comes 1st. Would highly recommend this shoe to other dancers. It does run small so be sure to order a whole size to 1.5 sizes up.

THE SHOE WE HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR
We have been searching for a good pair of canvas ballet slippers for my daughter. She has tried on other brands and styles but was not thrilled with any of them. These arrived in the mail and it was love at first fitting. There is a cushion between the toe pad and heel, giving just enough cushion for jumps and leaps. The elastic is strong but very soft. The shoe is a tad big on her but her feet are still growing. One complaint she has had about canvas shoes is how low the sides and heels are. She always feels like they are coming off of her foot. She loves exactly how this shoe hits her heel and toes. In ballet shoes, she wears a 7.5, which is what we ordered and they are perfect. I cannot wait to order more Mariia Shoes. The quality, fit and prices are perfect

SO COMFORTABLE FOR WIDER FEET!
I previously had Grishko or Russian pointe ballet shoes that were so uncomfortable and extremely narrow on my metatarsals. It made it hard to balance or even make my feet look nice because they were so squished and it bunched at the tips of the toes. I decided to give the new Mariia shoes a try since I am a big leotard fan of theirs and these do the exact opposite! They are so incredibly comfortable and allow my wider feet to breathe while also being hugged just enough for a nice pointed foot. The no elastics is such a bonus because there's no need to tuck them in and have them digging. The ankle elastics already come pre-sewn so no need to worry about that!
The sizing is a bit off but what they recommended works. I'm usually an 8.5 sometimes 8 depending on the shoe, so I did the .5 size down and they fit well. A little bit of a long and minor heel bunching which could either be due to them being ever so slightly big at the heel or just for a longer heeled person.
On the bottom of the heel, there is a sort of tiny cushion? It doesn't bother me and is quite nice and lifting for a rather flat-footed person. I haven't been able to wear them to class yet but in practice, they look and feel very nice! Lastly, the mesh bag at the bottom of the box was a total surprise and it's so cute I can't wait to wear them.

Sizing equivalent
If a 9W is a good fit in Capezio Hanami leather, what size would I be best to order in this style?
The sizing recommendation for this shoe differs from the Hanami. It is suggested that you order .5 to 1 size down from your street shoe for this shoe. And we would recommend a C width if you normally wear a wide width shoe. - DDS Customer Service (12/02/2022)
